Customers have the ability to oversee and tailor their core website settings through TMS. This tool grants users direct control over crucial elements that shape the information presented on their live website. Not only does it impact the visible content, but it also powers various content management systems, including our eCommerce solutions.
Customers can easily located their core website settings by using the navigation menu to the left of TMS. To locate the core website settings, click on the Website tab in the menu, then click on Website Settings.
The business configuration section allows customers to update the business information that is displayed on the website and used by various content management systems. This information should be set correctly, and once set should not need to be changed again unless the details of the business change.
The website name setting is used to set the name of your website which is used in various configurations such as social media shares. This setting is primarily used for Open Graph configuration which tells social media platforms what your website and its pages are about. This value should not be a domain name, it should be the name of your website, for instance, our website name is CogniTech Systems. Website Name is a required field.
The company name setting should be the official registered name of your company or your registered self employed name. For instance our legally registered name is CogniTech Systems LTD. If you are a legally registered company such as a LTD company, this name is legally required to be shown in the footer of your website.
The trading name should be set to the name your website is trading under. For instance, CogniTech Systems LTD is our legally registered name, however, we have multiple trading names such as Innov8 Digital Media and Anglesey Drone Media, the websites for these two trading names both display the trading name and the legally registered name and address.
