Adam is a senior technology architect and systems engineer with over 25 years’ experience designing, delivering, and operating complex platforms for corporate clients and SMEs on a global scale.
He specialises in software system integration, platform architecture, and long-term product ownership, with a strong emphasis on building systems that remain reliable, maintainable, and adaptable as they evolve. His work spans software design, system architecture, and extensive systems operations, including CI pipelines, infrastructure design, storage solutions, security, and multi-site environments.
Adam has implemented and managed data safeguards and regulatory protections across production platforms, ensuring systems meet operational, security, and compliance requirements as they scale. He has designed, built, and operated multi-million-user platforms within media and membership or subscription-based services, supporting tens of thousands of concurrent users under sustained real-world load.
His technical background includes deep experience with event-driven and messaging-based systems, enabling reliable real-time processing, push notifications, and decoupled system design at scale. He brings strong data layer expertise, working extensively with large, long-lived datasets, performance-sensitive databases, and complex replication and availability requirements.
Adam has led and executed major migration projects, modernising legacy platforms and infrastructure while maintaining service continuity and minimising operational risk. His approach is grounded in API-first and platform-as-a-product design principles, disciplined multi-environment deployment strategies with clear separation between development, staging, and production, and a strong focus on observability through monitoring, logging, and operational visibility.
His infrastructure experience spans cloud, bare-metal, and hybrid hosting models, alongside advanced networking work covering multi-gigabit networks, enterprise wireless distribution, and elements of ISP-level infrastructure. He regularly designs for high availability and disaster recovery, ensuring systems continue to operate predictably when components or sites fail.
He also has experience designing and supporting mobile applications for iOS and Android, ensuring backend platforms, APIs, real-time systems, and internationalisation requirements align with the demands of modern client applications.
longside platform and infrastructure work, Adam designs smart home and building system architectures, applying the same principles of rock-solid foundations, fail-safe behaviour, and clarity of operation. This real-world systems thinking informs his broader technical approach, ensuring solutions remain dependable beyond ideal conditions.
While operating at a strategic level, Adam remains deliberately hands-on, bridging architectural decision-making with implementation and long-term operational ownership. Outside of his core technical work, he is actively involved in live music and concert projects, where reliability, coordination, and execution are equally critical.
